Introduction
Our initial meetings give us a chance to get to know each other and discuss the goals and dreams for your mountain home. We also explore energy efficient, budget conscious, techniques and material options as we discuss your investment. Additionally, we often conduct tours of some of our previously completed homes that may reflect your specific tastes.

Reflection
Once we both feel that Mountain Top Builders is the right fit for your project we confirm the details of, and execute, the pre-construction contract. If an architect is not already involved in the project, we assist in interviewing and selecting qualified design professionals, engineer(s), surveyor, and the Home Energy Rating System (HERS) rater to establish the team and work together to design a home that meets the stringent ENERGY STAR™ standards.

Realization
At this point, we further define the project costs and begin the collaborative process of designing your home. Our involvement during this phase helps support the other trade contractors as we continue the ever-important balance between desired features, energy efficiency, functions, style, and cost. As the design progresses, we coordinate the necessary testing, utility applications, neighborhood design review submittals, survey, and engineering work while finalizing the project schedules, specifications, and detailed budget to prepare the contract documents for the construction phase. Upon completion of the design and pre-construction phase, we execute the construction contract and prepare to break ground.

Construction
In this exciting and fast-paced phase, our experienced team of craftsmen and trade contractors erects and weatherizes the structure of your new home while paying careful attention to the myriad of important details that will eventually be concealed by finish materials. As these items are crucial to the energy efficiency and long-term performance, this is where our independent HERS rater assists with field inspections and quality assurance. With ongoing communication and updates about the budget and schedule, including regular progress photos, we complete the weather-tight shell construction.

Creation
During this phase, we transform your house into a home. With your budget in mind, we support you in the selection of a variety of exterior and interior home finishes. We use our web based project management software to optimize communication keeping you current by providing one spot to review all aspects of the project including schedule, selections, photos and budget.

Possession
Together, we conduct the orientation walkthrough. We review your two-year warranty and customized owner's manual and finally present the keys as you take possession of your new mountain home. As good neighbors, we can serve as stewards of your home during the off-season months and look forward to working with you in the years to come.
